August 2026 Update: The Morristown HCM Program was established in 2014 through a collaboration with the Tufts Medical Center HCM Center under the leadership of Martin Maron, MD. As the program expanded, Ethan Rowin, MD, joined the leadership team, helping to bring specialized hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) care closer to patients and families throughout New Jersey.

When Drs. Maron and Rowin transitioned to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, Matthew Martinez, MD, assumed leadership of the Morristown HCM Program and continued to grow and develop the program while also serving as Director of the Sports Cardiology Program.

Following Dr. Martinez's transition to Mayo Clinic in 2026, Atlantic Health System recruited Adaya Weissler-Snir, MD, to lead the next chapter of the Morristown HCM Program. Working closely with Linda D. Gillam, MD, Chair of Cardiovascular Medicine, Dr. Weissler-Snir is rebuilding the HCM program with the goal of establishing a comprehensive, multidisciplinary center dedicated to providing expert care for patients and families affected by hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
