The Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Program (HCM) is led by Program Director Alfred Asante-Korang, MD, who oversees a highly skilled multidisciplinary team including pediatric cardiology, radiology, genetics, advanced heart failure and transplantation, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, and cardiac surgery. Our patients receive high quality cardiac care and specialized disease management that is comprehensive, multidisciplinary, and all-inclusive care. This Program offers a team approach for patients coping with HCM through a variety of treatments including medical therapy, heart-failure management and education. A multi-specialty team of cardiologists, cardiac intensive care specialists, cardiac anesthesiologists and cardiac surgeons provide clinical and technical support for the program. We offer a dedicated HCM clinic for our patients. The HCM Program at JHACH provides new hope to children through the most advanced treatments.
