Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is the most common type of genetic heart muscle disease and when left untreated, can cause life-long complications and even sudden cardiac death, particularly among otherwise healthy, active teens and young adults.
This free educational symposium will connect patients and families with physicians, genetic experts, counselors, nutritionists and social workers to learn more about the latest therapies, research and treatments for managing HCM. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and discover additional resources available through the University of Maryland Heart and Vascular Center. Learn more about our program at umm.edu/hcm.
There is no cost to participate in this event but registration is required.
