HCMA PRESS CONFERENCE: Help Stop SCA In Our Children

On May 26, 2009 the HCMA will hold a press conference / community education program at the Yogi Berra Musuem In Montclair NJ at 11:30am. NJ has lost 4 children in the past 3 months to Sudden Cardiac Arrest. HCM is the leading cause of SCA in the young. Sudden Cardiac Arrest kills more then 300,000 people each year in the USA. People at all ages are at risk of becoming a victim of SCA. We can work to protect our children and yound adults by knowing the signs, symptoms and family history information that may place some at a higher risk of SCA. Download the SCA Risk Assessment Form and complete it for each and every child and yound adult in your family - and speak to your health care provider and seek appropriate testing if you have risk factors. ...
