These figures may vary to some degree, and medication may help ease the symptoms, but they aren't a replacement when surgery is warranted. When surgery cannot be done, then they get very aggressive with the medication therapy. The goal is to reduce the pressure within the heart as over time, it weaken the muscle. Your correct that Mayo has done the most Apical procedures. Visit a COE is always the best approach.
