I had asked this in the forum under family, but I was wandering if you knew the percentage of people that know they have HCM that have AICDs. I was very curious. It seems alot of people on the forum do not have them. Also, according to Dr. Link there are not many kids that have AICDs. They are only going to do one lead with James instead of the dual because they don't think he needs pacing right now. Dr. Link said the Medtronic Device has the smallest leads which is best for children. Is that because the veins in kids are smaller than adults. He said if James was an adult it really would not matter. Anyway, I'll ask these questions when I see Dr. Link tomorrow but just wandered what you though! Thanks, Janet
