my friends are scared and don't think they can come and post questions about HCM on this website. i tell them that they may understand my life a little better if they just read some of these post or they just ask some questions to someone who may know better than i know.

You can print this page and take it to your friends. The most certainly can post here and ask any questions they want. This place is for people with HCM, family, friends, and anyone else who just wants to know more about it. We have had several people here who are friends, or even those who are writing papers on HCM and don't know anyone personally with the disease. Please encourage them to come check us out. :)

thats rough, my friends dont know a whole lot about my condition but they all know i have it and that it makes some stuff really hard on me. they are really good about waiting with me and sitting down and helping me stay hydrated which has been such a blessing, even though most of them cant even say "hypertrophic cardiomyopathy" hahaha
