what is the differnce (prognosis wise treatment wse ect..) of HCM and concentric hypertrophc left ventricle?

If the LVH is simply LVH secondary to hypertension and it is NOT HCM there is a world of difference.
LVH from hypertension can be controlled and in some cases corrected with meds. HCM is a genetic condition that can be controlled to a large degree but not corrected.

so if one didnt have high bood pressure then hypertrophic left ventricle disease would be hcm?

The answer is yes, it would most likely be HCM. Given your family history, though, I would lean toward HCM anyway. I'm sorry that you're going through this, but you can live a full life with HCM. You asked in another thread about life expectancies, dying from HCM, etc. Most with HCM live long full lives. The key is to find a doctor who understands the disease and find a treatment regimen that works for you.
