went today to see if my defib's battery and thank g-d it was fine. kinda scary though that it can just run out of juice in a matter of hours. they gave me a cool magent to test it every day but the magent is veryyy powerful affects electronics. anyway just curious to see if anyone else went in 2 check thiers and what their results were?

I got my ICD replaced. I didn't want to bother with the magnet routine, and I am paced a fair amount of the time, so I didn't want to risk having the thing expire when I was out of town, or alone with my young son. I didn't want to have to think about it. How long have you had your ICD? Didn't you get it recently?

I have a magnent for the time being. I will probably get mine replaced later in the year.

got it last May but got a notice saying my model was one of the possible defectants. its pretty annoying, but what can you do?
