It is very common to see Glycogen-storage disease diagnosed as HCM, it can take months to tell the difference. Typically only in children that you will see Glycogen-storage. If you have a family history of HCM then Glycogen-storage disease is not something you need to be thinking about.

There are new treatments for Glycogen-storage disease and it is important to diagnoses it properly and begin appropriate treatment - it is frustrating that it can take months to know for sure sometimes.

Best wishes,
Lisa
