Thresholds

Can anyone explain what thresholds are on our little devices. The guy that downloaded mine yesterday was surprised that my thresholds were set so high for someone of my age and "healthiness" as he put it. He did turn them down a notch, trying to make my battery last a little longer. I have felt a little light headed since he turned them down. Is this a normal response to changes in settings on a AICD?

It would be best if you knew what your settings were and what he changed them too. Are you seeing an HCM specialist for your care?

Hi Lisa. I haven't talked to you in awhile. I did go to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester 2 yrs. ago and they implanted my AICD. My dr. here is supposed to confer with my drs. there.

As for my thresholds, he said they were 3.5 and 4.5. I believe he left the 3.5 alone, but moved the 4.5 down to 4.

I'm not sure what you mean. I'll call tomorrow and get a copy of my records sent to me so I'll know exactly what I'm talking about.....
