I have a question. I read a post where vondhe. was non- obstructed and had an episode of sudden death. why is that. and will medications that slow your heart rate help prevent that from happening.

Obstruction isn't usually what causes an episode of sudden death. Usually it's an arrhythmia that the heart can't overcome. There are medicines that can help control your heart rhythm, but if you have risk factors for sudden death, you should be evaluated for an ICD. It's the surest form of protection.

Sudden death appears to happen in non obstructed at the same rate if not more than obstructed.
It is currently unclear what role obstruction plays as a risk factor for sudden death - if any at all.
