Some of us are happy just having one AICD. So I guess that makes me special cause now I have 2!

Ok, ok not two in my chest. The other is just a dummy but I thought the story was pretty funny. I was in class for my new job and we were practicing vital signs. I being the weird one was the guinea pig. Never had that before  . Well, I was throwing everyone off with my abnormal pulse. (little concerned about it myself seeing the cardio on Monday). My bp was really low too so that had them going as well.

The nurse started asking me questions and we got to talking about AICD's and she asked me about mine I told her and she said You've gotta see this. She ran to her office and brought back 2 defibrillators. An old one and one that is exactly like mine! I was very interested because I'd never actually seen one.

I asked if I could come back and take a picture. She said I've got something better you can have it! I was esctatic I guess in a weird sort of way.

So that is how I got 2 AICDs.

You have me laughing out loud here. When my husband went to be evaluated for his ICD they gave him a dummy device to have. It's cool, isn't it? Looks just like a larger Zippo lighter!

The students said it was kinda irratic and not very steady. It would speed up and slow down. Their 30 count was totally different than the minute count.

I didn't pay too much to it I guess because I've been having issues. I spent Tues/Weds in the hospital. It was my normal until I was in the ER after they gave me the morphine the first time about 20 minutes later it got so bad I was in tears. It was a crushing pain my hr was about 130 but it was in sinus rhythm. I had never felt anything so bad they gave me 4mg of morphine but it lasted about 20 minutes. I do have a call in to Dr. M. and I have a visit with the local on Monday. Were tweaking the meds again to see if we can get something to give.

I was supposed to stay in the hospital until today but I just can't miss work right now so I opted to go home and take it easy.

Yes, Lisa I think I do need a new hobby. Don't know what I want as one though. I need a nice relaxing one!
