Overmedicated

how does a doctor determine if you could be "over medicated" on a beta blocker....I'm wondering what symptoms you would have for not enough meds or too much?

Cynthia, two that come to mind are slow heart rate (also referred to as Bradycardia) and low blood pressure.
I have a very slow heart rate in the low 50s and often below 50.
I have switched beta blockers and have taken a lower doseage, but my rate is still too slow.
The next step for me maybe a pacemaker.

had my bp taken and pulse taken a month ago (yearly physical) and the doctor didn't say anything about it. The nurse said my bp was good. I've been getting a lot of (what feel like) premature beats and had a tach episode early this a.m. I'll wait to see what the specialist says :?
