Does anyone know if Coreg is used as a beta-blocker? Out of all the posts I have read I haven't seen that mentioned at all. Thank you

Coreg IS a beta-blocker (carvedilol), I think it is a newer one, so probably not in a lot of HMO formularies (I haven't seen it in CIGNA or AETNA lately).
You can read prescribing info at www.coreg.com or www.intellihealth.com's drug resource guide.
There are about a dozen beta-blockers all told, and while they all differ in small ways, they all have the same basic side effects, precautions, and considerations.
take care,

Coreg is not normally used in HCM. You may want to discuss your husbands diagnosis and review the echo with your doctors.
