Septal Myectomy by Dr. Dearani (Mayo Clinic)

Can anyone tell me about their experiences with a Myectomy from Dr. Dearani of the Mayo clinic? Private is cool. I would greatly appreciate any input anyone may have. I am going to have a myectomy with him standing in.

I don't know Dr. Durrany, but if he is at Mayo, I suspect he has worked with Dr. Danielson and he is TOPS. I'm assuming you mean the Rochester Mayo? Linda

Yes. He has worked very closely with Dr. Danielson for many years I am told. Dr. Danielson was supposed to be standing in on my surgery but because of his recent retirement his malpractice insurance was discontinued so he could not even stand in. I was bummed. But Dr, Dearani is supposed to have trained for a long time with him. Anyone with first hand knowledge who can tell me their experiences would sure help ease my mind. Thanks Linda!
