Hi Everyone---- I was just released from the hospital this morning after my ablation on May 29th. It seems to be a raging success, but I am feeling so much much better that it is positively disorienting!!

I was the first ablation performed at St. Luke's in Manhattan and everyone there was very happy and excited over the operation and what a success it seems to be. I told Dr. Sherrid that there seems to be a dreadful side effect of this procedure. My throat has been ruined by all the crowing I've been doing!!!!

I had talked to Dr. Sherrid and OF COURSE he maintained the confidentiality of the patient....but said that the ablation they had just done went very well and he was pleased...Then I said send my regards to Liona - he said "do you know EVERY HCM PATIENT!"
I am so happy things went well and hope that you continue to feel well!
Be well,
Lisa

Iiona,

I am very happy to hear how things went. I have been told that ablation is my next step and I am getting geared up for it. What were your symptoms prior to the ablation? Was there much discomfort during the procedure? Could you feel an improvement soon after it was done? Please keep us informed. Do you mind telling me what is your age and how long you've been diagnosed?

Regards,
Ralph
