Hi All,

It has probably been a couple of months since I really read any messages or posted. It has been 8 months since surgery and basically everything is good :P . There are still bad days, but I am living a normal life, exercising, and working full time. I am part of the government that switched to the new Department of Homeland Security and everything is in a crazy state of change. I spend alot of time try to prove that I am my old reliable self and not the person who was carted off by the paramedics after colapsing walking to my office.

I am so so so happy that I went to the Cleveland Clinic and thank you Lisa for the  push and support, and of course the great support of the Cleveland Myectomy Crew (Hi Lynn and Tim).

Sorry Lisa we will not be able to make the meeting, we really wanted to come  . Plus, my niece had a baby a few months ago that I haven't met yet and lives up in that area so we were hoping to make it a combined trip. We just couldn't pull it off.

I am sorry to hear that you can not make the meeting - but happy to hear you are feeling well!
There are a number of people out here looking for info on myectomy -- I am sure you can give some information to them that will help them along the journey!

Be well,
Lisa

Hi Jerry!!

It is so good to see a posting from you! I've been wondering how you have been doing and am glad to see that you are well. It sounds as if life is very hectic for you right now. I know what you mean about needing to prove yourself...only I feel like I'm trying to prove it to myself these days.

I'm in cardiac rehab finally and improving slowly on endurance but the leaky mitral valve makes things seem like '1 step forward 2 steps back' but it is really worth it. I'm due back at CCF in August for another check up which ironically will be only a couple weeks away from the 1 year mark from surgery for all of us!!

Sorry that we will miss you and Susan at the seminar this year - maybe next year will be better! I would agree with you that the CMC made a huge difference especially that week of surgery, we were all very lucky to be able to meet up.

Take care,
Lynn

Jerry and Lynn,

Glad to here that each of you are doing well. I too feel that the trip to Cleveland was well worth it. I have finished Phase II cardic rehab and am now attending Phase III. I am exercising 4 to 5 times per week.
