I had a myectomy at the mayo clinic last Thursday and am doing great. The Mayo Clinic is an AMAZING place. Very organized, very skilled I have no complaints. The nurses were extremely skilled and sympathetic. I never had to ask for my pain medication. They were there before I had to ask. My husband even commented on the fact that he seen one of the surgery nurses at a restaraunt the day after my surgery. She was off duty, but took the time to ask him how I was doing.
My gradient before the surgery was 120 and now is 0. I had some valve leakage that is now fixed. They have turned off the pacemaker part of my defibulator. It is there for back up only. Before it was pacing 80%. The pain for me has been minimal. I have cut my pain medication down to one every 7-8 hours. At the hospital it was 2 every 5-6 hours. I walk my son to the bus stop every morning and meet him every night. Slowly, but we get there.

I just wanted to tell every one THANK YOU very much for referring me to the Mayo Clinic. I never would have looked into this option without you. You guys are great.
