Imagine . . . .

There is a bank that credits your
account each morning with $86,400.
It carries over no balance from day to day.
Every evening deletes whatever part of the
balance you failed to use during the day. What
would you do? Draw out ALL OF IT, of
course!!!!

Each of us has such a bank. Its name is TIME.
Every morning, it credits you with 86,400
seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost,
whatever of this you have failed to invest to good
purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no
overdraft.

Each day it opens a new account for you.
Each night it burns the remains of the day.
If you fail to use the day's deposits, the
loss is yours.

There is no going back. There is no
drawing against the "tomorrow."
You must live in the present on today's
deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the
utmost in health, happiness, and success!
The clock is running. Make the most of today.

To realize the value of ONE YEAR,
ask a student who failed a grade.

To realize the value of ONE MONTH,
ask a mother who gave birth to a premature
baby.

To realize the value of ONE WEEK,
ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize the value of ONE HOUR,
ask the lovers who! are waiting to meet.

To realize the value of ONE MINUTE,
ask a person who missed the train.

To realize the value of ONE-SECOND,
ask a person who just avoided an accident.

To realize the value of ONE MILLISECOND,
ask the person who won a silver medal in the
Olympics. ** Or the person who's ICD just saved there life**

Treasure every moment that you have! And
treasure it more because you shared it with
someone special, special enough to spend your
time.

And remember that time waits for no one.
Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift. That's why it's called the
present!!!

Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed.
They make you smile and encourage you to
succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word
of praise, and they always want to open their
heart to us.

LIVE, Learn, Love and leave your mark
Peace to all,
Lisa
PS Thanks Harvey this one is a gem

There are tons of reasons out there for positive....... HCM has been one of them. After living with it as no big deal for years.....ended up driving to ER with heart block. Walked out with a pacer and some toprol, but got me curious. The human heart is an amazing machine... HCM has made me fall in love with it. Just few miracles to share and appreciate.... they are common facts but vital to our life.

1) Heart is a critical part of the human machine and was designed to be inside the rib cage so it will withstand shocks and bumps.
2) Heart has built in pulse generators and will keep pulsing even if the brain is turned off. Even during open heart surgeries, heart can keep pulsing.
3) If we develop regurgitation atriums are desgined to stretch to handle extra blood for certain extent.
4) If there is a problem in electrical pathway, pulse generators just don't stop working, they fire harder or throught different paths to keep the heart going. Fibs. are just hearts way of telling us something is wrong in my circuit
5) If the internal electricity doesn't work, the heart takes external electricity to work....Pacers and ICDs
6) If the wall gets too thick, we can go in a take a chunk out...and it still works.
7) If the electricity fires too much, we can go in and cut some pathways out.. and it still works.
8) If the valves don't work, we can fix them or replace them..and it still works.
9) If the body needs more blood, it will pump faster, and if it still can't deliever enough oxygen gives us SOB and tells us to calm down.
10) It will take chemical help from B-blockers, Ca-channel blockers, etc.
11) If we give external electrical help with pacers, it still doesn't forget how to pulse.
12) When there are blood vessel blocks, other blood vessels pick up the slack.
13) Even when we do open heart surgeries, valve replacements, ablations, etc after we are done messing with it, heart knows how to heal itself.

Don't you just love it??? :D :D :!: :!: 8-)
