Septal Ablation Finished!!

Hi Guys!!!!

I made it back from MUSC. :D My Ablation went great.......Dr.Neilsen said it was a complete sucess. I immediately knew it when I had this hollow feeling in my chest and I could breath. Let me explain hollow....for so long my chest has felt full and thick....now it feels free!!

My experience at MUSC was the best ever......yes there was some discomfort (its not pain free) but it is mild. The staff was great and I cant say enough about Dr. Neilsen and DR. Cawthon..they are wonderful people and they care about you as a person.

I am to follow up w/ my local cardiologist as per Dr. Neilsen and be evaluated to see if I am to get an ICD. We will see.

Hi Connie! How are you doing? Dad has his three month follow-up two weeks ago at MUSC ... He is doing WONDERFUL :lol:
Let's just say that he is more active now than I have seen him in the last 29 years!!!! It's incredible. He gets the occasional angina feeling but other than that is in terrific shape!!!!! His blood pressure could come down a little but they are monitoring it with meds. I am pleased with the outcome. Had he not gone through with the procedure today I know it would have shortened his life span big time :cry:

Glad to hear things are going so good for Dad. Tell him I said hello and your mom. I am walking 2 miles 4-5 times per week now. Can,t wait until it is time to plant spring flowers ( something I haven,t been able to do for about three years.)There really is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Whether the results of my ablation last months or years I,ll never
regret having it done. Nice to see you on the board again.

Thats such good news about how much your walking!!! I look out side and Im thrilled to see spring here!!! Its the first time in a long time I could get out to do any thing. Im walking a mile a day now. Its been 9 week since my Alcohol Ablation!!!
