A Brief History Of Medicine

I have an earache.
2000 B.C. - Here, eat this root.
1000 A.D. - That root is heathen, say this prayer.
1850 A.D. - That prayer is superstition, drink this potion.
1940 A.D. - That potion is snake oil, swallow this pill.
1985 A.D. - That pill is ineffective, take this antibiotic.
2000 A.D. - That antibiotic is artificial. Here, eat this root.

Ya know working at Disney especially at the House of Innoventions reminds me of TOTO. We actually have a TOTO toilet that has seat lifter, seat warmer, and it even comes complete with water sprays and a blow dryer. :P How's that for not being in Kansas anymore!

True story: We moved back tothe US in May from Japan. ToTo is a popular plumbing hardware company there. On to the rest of the story: For my husband's going away gift they gave him one of those heated seats with all the bells and whistles! :oops: It was hilarious! :o Try explaining to the postal workers why you are mailing a heated toilet seat back home.
