Hi everyone, I'm 33 and was diagnosied with a rare mutant form of apical HCM at age 16. I say that it is a rare form due to fact that is started as apical and has progressed all through the septum, right ventricle, left atrium, and of course severe left ventricle hypertrophy. I have an dual chamber defibrillator implanted and I'm now in the process of getting on the transplant list. I'm looking for others with similair experiences.
Thanks
Amy

Dear Amy
Welcome. I wish you all the luck and blessings in the world towards getting a new heart. Please contact the HCMA directly to use the member's network to meet other transplant members that may not be reading the message board.
Please keep us posted on how you are doing. I have a very boring form of HCM, well slightly unusual in that is just goes up the left side on the outside wall.I guess if you have to have HCM, mine would be the kind to get. But please feel free to e-mail me if you want to chat anytime. (quark3001-at-hotmail.com)
