Well, I have consults scheduled for next Wednesday, 1/25 with both Drs. Link (for ICD) and Rastegar (for myectomy). The plan , in my head at least, is to get the ICD as soon as I can and to schedule the myectomy for April (the timing of which makes sense for insurance reasons).
My question for those of you who have had either one or both of those procedures...is there any question or subject you wish you had discussed with the MD beforehand to prepare? I'm currently compiling my list of questions, but I'm sure there will be something I forget and then, after next Wednesday, wish I had brought up...

I think the HCMA has a list of questions to ask but not sure. Do give them a call. You can find tons of stories and reports on either procedure here on the board which may help you formulate your own questions.

Yes I would call the HCMA. Dr. Maron and Dr. Rastegar will not rush you and will be able to answer all your questions. They are quick to return a call or email before and after your procedure if the need arises. Even the office staff is very helpful with preparations leading up to surgery. ie, insurance, hotel accommodations, travel, etc.
Best wishes

Had my appointments at Tufts today. Again, I can't say enough how great they are there. Met with both Drs. Link (ICD) and Rastegar (myectomy). Looks like I'll be shooting to have both procedures in mid-March. Thanks again to everyone on this message board who have contributed volumes worth of information on what to expect and how to prepare.

Jonathan,
Glad it went well. Now "all" you have to do is survive the wait!

Waiting is the hardest part. Use this time to research how others prepapred.
Glad you got over the first hurdle!
