was admitted on thurs. to Tufts. The SOB was still very bad. had an echo and an NPO Stress test. did not do well on stress test. had 2 heart failure doctors talk to me a few days ago. there are a team of doctors who will be evaluation things. we even touched upon heart transplant info. but didnt get into details. I Hhave a right heart catherization scheduled for tomorow and i guess they can find out hoe weakened my heart is. All i'v been doing here is crying...my husband calls me crying...it doesnt see like reality. i thought i would be in my 70's to get to this point...if there is ANY information, comfort or experiences i would like to hear them. i'm trying to keep it together and not doing well

Hi Cynthia,
I'm really sorry to hear this. I hope the heart cath and other tests clarify what's going on.

Cynthia, you are at the right place to have these issues addressed. It may take a little time to get the answers you are looking for, but try not to let your head get ahead of the rest of you. Wishing you quick answers and a plan that is designed just for you.

Cynthia - LindaSo's advice was good. I know things seem frightening and desperate, but focus on any positives you have (beliefs, family, even Oprah) and once you have some insights from the pro's there, then you can make a plan - I know its easy to say, but only worry on what you know and not on what you don't. You've got a great team there and you have your entire HCMA family sending out positive thoughts and prayers.

Cynthia - I can certainly understand you feeling a wreck! You've been having a very tough time of it and coping is much more difficult when you feel so bad. I'm glad you seem to be lining up the best plan for you - will be watching for updates, sending prayers and best wishes for you and your family.

Hello Cynthia,
Set aside time each day to privately pray to the Lord - no one knows you as well as he does! Pray for yourself, the doctors, the treatment plan, the hospital staff, your friends and family, those you know going through similar issues. I always hear his voice the loudest when I'm the most desperate! I successfully prayed my way through a job change, the financial crisis of '09, illness in the family, personal projects, and now my HCM (which is ongoing, for sure). I just prayed for you and hope things take a positive turn real soon!

Cynthia I just read this and I am sorry to hear this. I started another thread that you replied to regarding the Triponin levels. I was in the ER this weekend and waited all weekend in the hospital no to wait until Thursday to do my stress test. All I can say is your NOT alone here. I am en engineer so I like the inputs you got take it one day at a time and get the information you need to make the right choices to your plan to get better!
