Selected as a Local Ambassador for Go Red

I just wanted to share my news. I attended a national Go Red for Women Casting Call awhile back and found out today that I wasn't selected to go national with my story, but they do want me to be an Eastern Iowa Go Red for Women Ambassador. I will be working with the American Heart Association Go Red for Women movement year round as a media spokesperson, volunteer and advocate for heart health in Eastern Iowa.

I only hope the fact that I have to work on the day of our first meeting, won't impact them changing their minds about selecting me! I'm pretty excited to get the word out about HCM, even if it is just for this area of my state!

Congrats! That is awesome. Its cool that they are looking at some other types of heart disease, and not the "usual" stuff.
