My daughter was originally perscribed 120 MG of slow release verapamil twice a day. Without her consent the mail-in pharmacy changed it to 240MG of slow release. She tried it and she could feel the medicine wears off a few hours before her next dose. (about 4AM in the morning!)
She went to the local pharmacy and instead of slow release they gave her 120mg verapamil.
She refused to take it and has now received her corrected medication.
My question is what is the difference betweent the slow release and the one that isn't? Could she have taken that one or would there have been a detrimental effect?
Thanks.
Pat, mother of Sara, 27, who was recently diagnosed.
