help with new post

I apologize for posting in this thread but i can't seem to figure out how to start a new post.

I have a couple of questions about the side effects of the Beta Blocker Metoprolol. Where might i post something of that nature and how would I start a new post.

To get general information on side effects of any FDA-approved drug, a search engine like Google will lead you to a lot of sites that all have the same information. Here's what http://www.drugs.com/metoprolol.htm reports:
"Call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:

* slow or uneven heartbeats;
* feeling light-headed, fainting;
* feeling short of breath, even with mild exertion;
* swelling of your ankles or feet;
* nausea, stomach pain, low fever, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes);
* depression; or
* cold feeling in your hands and feet.

Less serious metoprolol side effects may include:

* vomiting;
* decreased sex drive, impotence, or difficulty having an orgasm;
* sleep problems (insomnia);
* tired feeling; or
* anxiety, nervousness.

This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur."

CCF Dr. Lever strongly suggests that people do not use the generic if you can afford the name brand Toprol. I followed his advice after being on the generic for over a year. I found that the name brand was much better and there was a noticeable improvement in how I felt. The generic seemed to have peaks and valleys throughout the day, while the release of the name brand seems to be more consistent resulting in a more stable blood pressure.
