Margi.

If your heart is doing things that is not normal for you, I would want to make sure everything is in order.

A pulse around 100 is normal after transplant. Your heart rate is no longer controlled by nervous connections to the rest of your body since the vagus nerve was cut when your original heart was cut out. Your new heart has an intrinsic rhythm that can only change if you blood gets flooded with hormones. That's why your heartbeat is now slow to respond to exercise, and you have been cautioned to warm up slowly and carefully if you are exercising.

Your new heart is not only faster, it beats much stronger than the old one, so you are probably much more aware of it. Emily use to complain that she could hear it and it was annoying. She is slowly getting used to it.

Irregular heartbeats and palpitations are something that you should discuss with your doctors.

Bob said this very well and I just want to encourage you to check out the irregular beats. My pulse has hardly been below 100 since transplant.
