Gosh Margi, good question. Since only your MD knows what meds you are on, ask him/her next time you have an appt.
I'm so glad you are feeling much better !!

Hi Margi
If you find out that you're unable to take birth control pills ask your gyno dr if about the copper IUD (IntraUterine Device) by the brand Paragard. That's what I have because it doesn't contain hormones. It's literally just copper and plastic. Once the doctor inserts it you can forget about it because it's maintenance free and lasts for 10-12 years (but you can remove it at anytime and the effects are reversible). It's more effective than the pill. Copper is toxic to sperm, that's how it works.

I also have a Paraguard IUD, but I believe that they are only recommended for women who have already had at least one child.
Margi,
As the others suggest, please call the doctor who is following you for your transplant care before starting any new meds.
I'm also glad you're doing well. It's good to hear from you.
