Post myectomy about 6 months, I added Diltiazem to my Atenolol. It has been very helpful for my chest pain that returned following myectomy..I take 90 mgs 4x's / day( 360 mgs) but was at a total of 540 mgs a year ago( lowered to 360 mgs when the lisinopril was started. Presently I also take the atenolol 50mgs 2 x's /day--lowered to this dose when I started the sotalol...so Sotalol 80mgs 2x's / day( added 3 years after myectomy for a-fib) and now lisinopril 10mgs 2x's / day added 4 years after myectomy..
Lasix has been for the duration but the dose is 80 mgs 2 x's a day and gradually up to the same dose now as before my myectomy.
As you can see many changes and additions are often necessary following myectomy. These are individual and unique. It is a balancing act and all worth trying w/ ones specialist.

I take 180mg Diltiazem daily and have since last September. I haven't had a myectomy nor do I really have any HCM symptoms and it is the only medication I take. I have really had no problems with it at all. I think maybe some tiredness but I was tired before the medication too, pretty much my entire life I have been someone who could nap everyday even if I slept 10 hours, so not sure if it is med related or not. LOL.
