Hi,
I am an Actuarial Student. I have spent more time with my friend Dean than either of us ever wanted. We study together and have struggled to get through the exams. We help each other when we are stuck on subjects. He and his wife came Tyler's funeral. He had met Tyler one day for lunch when I went to pickup study materials.

Dean had two events occur during our big snow storm. One ends happy, the other is quite sad. First the sad, his wife's "cousin" heart stopped suddenly and he died at the age of 27 a few days before Christmas. Two other similarly aged young people died within the same time frame. I'll share more if I learn more.

The second was about Dean's uncle. He had chest pain and nausea while shoveling snow. He thought to call 911 right away. By the time the ambulance arrived he had flat lined. They were able to us an AED to bring him back. He flat-lined again and was once again brought back with life saving shock. He now has stent(s) and is in recovery. He missed the holidays at home, but he is expected to be home for New Years.

Wow, Sean. You've had way more drama in the last month than anyone should ever have to deal with. Please share my condolences with Dean and his family over the loss of his wife's cousin. Also share with him my joy that his uncle is alive and well, albeit with new hardware. I wish everyone the best in the New Year.

Sean,
If anyone needs a vacation... it is you and your family. I hope you are getting a break at least recharging at home. Please take care of yourself.

A quick update. Dean's uncle is doing better now. He has been back at the hospital, but is recovering. Ironically, his wife died of cancer at the same time my Mom died. Worse yet, he has lost a son at the young age of 19 about ten years ago.

Sean - I've been thinking about you and you're family, wondering how you all were doing. Linda
