Cleveland Hotels

I will be going to the Cleveland Clinic on December 15th. My husband & daughter are coming along. I need to be thrifty, therefore, I made hotel arrangements at the Wyndham. I found that most of the hotels in the area offer reduced rates for CC patients along with shuttle services.

Has anyone had any experiences with any of the hotels not on the hospital campus?
How far is the airport from the hospital?
Everyone has been so helpful, just want to say "thank you."

What I'd recommend is that you contact the medical concierge at Cleveland Clinic and ask them for advice/help about getting to the hospital. They'll at least be able to give you schedules and approximate prices; there may be special arrangements they can make too.

The airport isn't near the Cleveland Clinic -- it's on the other side of town. For three people and their luggage, a taxi won't be that expensive.

It's possible to take public transit (the Cleveland Rapid runs from the airport to about a mile from the hospital) but you'll still have trouble getting from the Rapid station to the hospital with your luggage, and in December it may be cold and/or icy! I think the Cleveland Clinic runs a shuttle to the Rapid station.
