Hello everyone,
I hope everyone is doing great! I haven't been around as much as I'd like to but luckily, that means that I have been enjoying great health:)

However, I do have a concern:

I have noticed that everytime I am going to get my period, about a week before, I feel EXTREMELY fatigued, I have some chest pain, as if I had a heavy weight on my chest. It all dissappears as soon as I get it and I feel great again, I can workout and evrything is normal. Does anyone knows if this is normal or related to my hypertgrophic cardiomyopathy and if there is something I can do to stop this from happenning? It is very uncomfortable and sometimes a bit scary!

Hope somebody can help me with this issue and as always, thank you all for your answers!

I think that it is somewhat common for women to notice increased symptoms around that time of the month...I know I do.

Unfortunately, I don't have any recommendations about how to deal with it other than grin and bear it. Do stay hydrated...that may help a bit, but otherwise, I don't know what else to say.

Hang in there.

Your symptoms could be increased based on you particular HCM. Some HCM hearts react worse to fluid increase which occurs pre-period. Also during the menses there will be some iron depletion and also some anemia in some women dependent on their GYN issues. This could contribute to the fatigue you get w/ your HCM.

As Cynthia states, hydrate well and also remember to eat iron rich foods and lay off the carbs during your menses.
