Just out of curiosity.....I have a pacemaker....if I was to suffer VFib and they shocked me with the paddles.......what happens....

Assuming I survive...do I turn into an FM Radio receiver?.........Is my Pacemaker toast, are the leads ruined.......What? Maybe I start acting like the energizer bunny and sign up for "DFib with the Stars".

AS usual.....youth wants to know.

I know in the past my EP dr. has deactivated my device and used an external cardioversion on me with no problems. I'm not sure how it all works, but I know it can be done.
