affect on vains?

I have been sick with the afib and high v. responce rates and constantly in and out the hospital. I have noticed over the last couple years that my vains in my arms and hands have increasingly gotten more and more difficult to get blood or a iv started. Now the nurses are running up into my nuckles to get vains there. I was told that sooner or later with my heart problems I will end up needing a port (or central line) put in? My vain also have become where they roll more, blow easy & tough skin.
I also noticed that when I get bad afib attacks when I got to get an iv, I can't hardly feel towards my wrist down to my fingers?
Also what about varicose vains and hcm?
