Have you ever been to a Pep Rally? Here some numbers to crunch (all are approximate). 350 kids per grade or more. 4 faculty members per grade. 4 grades. 1 building. 1 gym. 4 bleachers. 1 fan. about a gagillion degrees. 2.5 hours. Is that what your Pep Rallies are like? WOW... if you want to see what happens when you throw people against each other that's it. Everybody is loud, excited, crazy, painted, screaming, shouting, cheering, competing, invigorated, full of hormones, and competitive. (I recommend you wear ear plugs!)
I almost didn't go. I almost wore a heart rate monitor. Glad I went. Glad I didn't wear the heart rate monitor. If I had worn the heart rate monitor my heart rate probably would have been really high. My mom wouldn't like that. I probably had adrenaline in my blood. I am probably still dehydrated. I definitely still have silly string in my hair. The whole thing was probably not recommended for people with HCM, but I'm going next year because it's fun.
Just remember if your school is like mine you might want to make sure you bring a water bottle... or twelve... and don't forget to take your meds. I'd still go though because its a cool experience and you shouldn't let HCM take over your life. It's your disease, but not you.:D
