HCMA member Beverly Tye has asked me to inform you of the passing of her sister, Debra Kay Darr, age 40.
She passed away at 11:02pm last night after a long battle with HCM which lead her into end stage disease requiring the implant of a left ventricular assist device last June. She was a mother, daughter, sister and friend to many. Last night she was taken off of life support after having had complications last week. Her family was with her as she passed away and they are at peace with the choice to allow her to become an organ donor. She gave her kidneys, pancreas, eyes, tissue and bone.
Her heart was sent to the Jessie Edwards Registry, the same place Beverly's heart went after her transplant last November.
Beverly asks that you pray for her family to have strenght during this difficult time. The family is asking for donations to be sent to the HCMA in lieu of flowers.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Beverly and her family during this difficult time.
Please send your thoughts to Beverely and her family via this thread - she will be reading them when she has the time.
God Bless Debra and may her memory bring joy and happiness to those who loved her.
Sincerely,
Lisa

It sounds like she went through a lot in her short life.
