Howdy,
My company is a big contributor to the United Way. Last year we were one of the top in our community, beat only by a local hospital. They allow us to direct the money where ever we choose. This year, I asked that all of my contributions go to the HCMA. I mentioned it to a co-worker, who liked the idea enough that she may do the same. The company matches at 100 percent.

Every dollar that goes towards understanding and ultimately the cure of this disease is money well spent!

Will United Way do that I thought they only gave to charaties that they sponsor. I think that would be absolutly awesome. I know that we do a huge drive here at the mouse and I believe that 80% of cast actually do contribute. Just imagine if I could get all of my friends and co-workers over the years to designate their weekly contributions. I've only worked with close to 1,000 people if they only gave 1 dollar a week that's 52 weeks times 1000 and Disney matches it.

That would be amazing!

I spoke with Kelly about it, and we are going to double check to make sure the donation gets through. I was very clear in setting it up to go to the HCMA. My daughter was a Premie, so last year I directed my donations to the March of Dimes.

Give it a try,

Sean

The HCMA is not a "united way" charity. The administrative aspects to being listed would require us to hire a part time person to manage. However most companies who participate with such items as united way giving will allow you to name any non-profit organization which we do recieve from many. We are happy to complete all documentation required by your employers. Every penny helps and only together are we going to make a difference.

Thanks for thinking of the HCMA!

Hey Lisa how would I go about getting that done through Disney. And if we can get Disney to contribute is there any way I can get some more of those brocures you gave me a couple of years ago. This way I can get the info out to all of my friends and co-workers. Just in my division alone there is over 800 of us and I've worked with alot of them and they know the struggles I've had and I'm sure many would switch their contributions over because they left it blank not knowing who to give to.

Also, I and a few of my friends are singing in the cast choir. I'm hoping I will be able to donate quite a few tickets at the end of the year.
