Tonight I start a time with Zoloft 50mg. I know that anti-depression meds are being given for heart problems but am curious to know if anyone else has had experience with Zoloft. I take 25mg Atenolol twice a day and 150mg Norpace also twice a day. Barbi

Hi Barbi - I took Zoloft for a period of time and it did help with anxiety type issues - I took it for about a year and after things calmed down in my business I was able to go off the med. I'm not sure exactly what to say about the med - it did work. Zoloft can work for a variety of issues - some of the anti-depressants are better for some problems (say, anxiety), where another anti-depressant might be better for a different problem (say, typical depression). Hopefully your doctor specifically prescribed Zoloft because it is the best med for your situation.

Hi Barbi,
I take both Atenolol(75mg) and Zoloft(100mg) and have for several years, both at varying doses. I have tried several different kinds of anti-depressants and Zoloft seems to work the best for me.
I haven't noticed any really bothersome side effects, but they effect everyone a little differently.
Take care,
Pam

Zoloft can be totally great in most people and for a few it can make them suicidal, so please be aware of this and if you start to have more depression or suicidal thoughts/tendancies, call your doctor immediately and report it.
good luck!
