The other day, during 6th period, I started having some sharp chest pain. It only lasted a few minute, then it was gone. A few days later I started having chest pain again. My mom told me to take something for it, but it didn't help that much. I haven't had chest pain for at least a year, and I dont know why I have started getting it. My mom said she is going to call tomorrow to get me an appointment with the heart doctor. I cant say that I am excited about it but I have to go sometime, right?

Kayla, Your Mom is right to get this checked out. Hopefully, you will find it's not related to your heart, but it's best not to take chances. Let us know how you're doing - Best wishes - Linda

Kayla,
I hope you don't mind getting a reply from an "old fart". It's definately best to know what's going on.
If it's serious, or has the potential to become serious, then you need to know in order to plan out treatment and if necessary and lifestyle changes.
If it's not serious, then you can be relieved with that knowledge, and go on your merry way.
Best wishes to you.
