Here I am, back at home. I was discharged yesterday (Jan. 27th.) from St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.

While I was a patient they did a kidney ultra sound and a kidney biopsy. I will know the results next Thursday as I have an appointment with a kidney specialist. I also had a PICC line inserted in the vein of my arm to right above my heart. This allows access to get milinon (a final stage medication) directly into my heart.

I feel a little better, but still get short of breath and tired.

Because I have not been nicotine free for 6 months, I have to attend a nicotine program. I will be there for 1 week, but I will have access to computers.

Thank you all for your support.

Esther,

Glad you are home for now and all preparations for your new heart are moving forward . Sending you good wishes and hoping you can feel better during this time. I am so proud that you are now smoke free...It is a very tough job and you deserve a tremendous amount of credit. Hang in there.

Pam
