I just had the strangest sensation: I am sitting at my computer (at work) and I had the feeling of vertigo, my vision blurred and my stomache sorta flip/flopped and then it felt as though my head was spinning. My right eye seemed out of focus. It seemed to last only a few seconds, but I still feel a bit oozy. Is this something I should be overly concerned about?

I'd definitely watch taht and call the doctor if it happens again. I hope it was just a fluke thing for you.

Something you should definitely report to your doctor. These can be symptoms of a potential stroke or a little blood clot could have been shot. Please have yourself checked out. Do you take an aspirin each day? Because our HCM hearts beat at such force and their tends to be a lot of turbulence in our hearts their is a rough texture in our hearts that makes it a ripe place for blood clots to form. I am a strong believer in prophylactic aspirin therapy.
When I was a working nurse many of my recovering stroke survival patients would have been wisely advised by their doctors if they had been prescribed aspirin daily . Especially true since many were already being monitored for elevated BP's, or cardiac issues prior to treatment and to their strokes. Tish Tish to those doctors.

Thanks! No I do not take an asprin a day - something I need to ask my doctor, as I do have high blood pressure. I have an appointment January 11th for another echo, and my cardio. mentioned that if things haven't improved that he would be referring me to a specialist. But, I will call today too.

Well I spoke to the doctors office and they have rescheduled my appointment from Jan. 11th to Dec. 28th (tomorrow). The nurse didn't know what to think, mentioned that I may have low sugar, but I don't feel that's the problem as I eat five small meals a day. I did go and get my blood pressure check at the pharmacy and it shows 134/71, pulse is at 62. This is the best it's been in quite some time. So...... guess we'll see if anything looks different tomorrow. Thanks for your time and attention to my message!!
