I have never had any symptoms associated with asthma, however, recently I have been experiencing a tickly sensation in my throat area and the desire to cough particularly when taking deep breaths (exhaling). It's gradually got worse over the past few weeks in terms of the periods throughout the day when it occurs. I have been on beta blockers now for a year and I think I read that they can make asthma symptoms worse. Is there a connection here do you think.

The symptom you are explaining may be caused by a number of different things -asthma is very low on my list of suspects. Many people with obstruction have the symptoms you have explained. When was your last echo? Do you currently know if you have a gradient?
Reflux is a suspect as well.

I am unobstructed and my LVOT peak gradient is 6 mmHg. Last echo was April.

Have you had a stress echo? You may obstruct more with stress, dehydration, or activity. When are you having your next echo?

No I haven't had a stress echo - next echo will be in April.

Lisa, just realised that a stress echo might be the same as the treadmill test that I have had. Nothing changed significantly during or after the test.
