As we celebrate Beverly's wonder gift. I wanted to share one of the miracles of receiving a heart transplant. A very dear Friend of mine has just completed his 10th N.Y.C marathon since his transplant, but this year he did it with the brother of his donor!!!!
Great job Don and all the members of the Achilles club!! :BIG:

Hi Karen

I often wonder how much different life will be after my transplant. This is very encouraging. I am so happy for them both.

We, people that need heart transplants, need to hear more positive output from those that have had one.

Thank you for sharing your story with us.

Take care

That is so neat. I leave today for Mayo for my biopsy. I am hoping while there I get the information on the Transplant games to be held in Louisville in July. I plan to swim on the Mayo team. But I will post the info for everyone so maybe others can think about it. Thank God, for all our donors.

Thanks for telling us about it. Of course, I can't imagine that the doctors think it's ok for a transplant patient to run marathons... but I'm proud of his courage and willingness to go for it.
