Does your body take time to "adjust" to a new med? (i.e. starting an anti arrythmic)

Yes it does and it is a very individual and is also highly dependent on what drug you are taking, You should discuss this with your doc and he/she should be able to tell you how long it should take to ajdust to the meds and what to look for if things are not working as they should.

I am reminded of an old anti-seizure med I went on 15 yrs ago - I was warned of some dizziness early on so I toughed it out for 7 days. After 1 week I called my nero guy and said "when is the room going to stop spinning?" he said STOP TAKING THE DRUG NOW AND NO DRIVING FOR 3 DAYS! He meant the dizziness may be there the first day or so but that was all I was suppose to feel. Yet again we learn from our past. REPORT all symptoms to the doc when starting a new medication and make sure you know what to look out for ahead of time.
