in 11 years from age (34-45) on an echo the septum went from 0.9 to 1.3 cm is this typical?
if so what is the likly hood of the size increasing much further...

Honestly, it can variate that much from echo tech to echo teck. Mine usually averages from 2.0-2.3 and I'm not obstructed.

I agree with Mary. This difference could not be a septum increase but different interpretations from technicians and/or different echo machines (11 years is a long period). Regarding septum thickness limits, that depends of your cardiac dimensions/geometry and where the hypertrophy is localized. I'm not obstructed also with a 2.7 cm septum.

so the differnce would be in the tech's reading and not the increase? so i should nt expect an increase in setpal size just the techs reading?

It could be an increase OR the difference in how the tech did the echo. We can't tell from here which it would be. The best bet is to ask your doctor about it.
