Just to let you know my status will be moved up on the transplant list. from a 2 to a 1a for the week and renegotiated each week. I will then fall only to a 1b. I know my heart is coming soon.

Hi Aimee, I know this is a time of mixed emotions. I am 7 years post transplant and I can remember having my status changed from a 2 to a 1a. Back then to be 1a we needed to be in the hospital, a 1b you were at home. No matter where you wait it is still a very scary time, and yet you find yourself getting just a little excited that maybe soon you will have your new heart. The best thing I can tell you is no matter what keep a positive attitude and try to laugh at least once a day.Laughter is truly the best medicine. I was lucky I only waited a week in the hospital as a 1a and out 21 days later. The wait is the hardest!!! You are in my thoughts and prayers, if you need anything I'm only an e-mail away

I am so excited for you. Yes, it is scary but as Karen says exciting. I never was a 1 A but was a 1B waiting at home. You are right it will be soon. I will keep you in my prayers.
