							<description><![CDATA[The debate over treatments for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with obstruction has played out in scientific sessions and the medical literature for the past 10 years.  While the ACC Consensus Document on the Management of HCM clearly noted that surgical myectomy remained the “Gold Standard” treatment for symptomatic patients great attention was given to alcohol septal ablation as a non-surgical therapy elsewhere in the literature.   This analysis offers interesting insight to the data. ]]></description>
