HCMA Announces New Board President
Albany, NY July 24, 2015   The Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association (HCMA) announced today that its board had elected Mr. L. Joshua Eikov as its Board President to serve the 2015/2016 term.
Mr. Eikov is the Head of Strategy and ICT and a Managing Director for Summit Mergers & Acquisition a holding of CSC Capital and the General Partner of Laveton House Partners LP a real estate trust. He is a seasoned businessman and brings almost 30 years of global experience to the HCMA. Josh is also an HCM patient.
“We are excited to bring Josh to the HCMA. He brings us both a perspective from the corporate world and from the patient mind frame. Josh is going to help us set the HCMA for the future.” said Lisa Salberg, Founder and CEO of the HCMA.
The HCMA is the leading registered 501-C3 non-profit organization for HCM and is structured with medical advisors governing all of the medical content provided by the HCMA and a Board of Directors governing the day-to-day operations and growth.  The HCMA is supported by grants and donations. The HCMA does not profit from referrals to any center, devices, and medications or from any information given to assist visitors to our site or members.
Board President Elect Josh Eikov said “I have been a big fan of the HCMA and what Lisa Salberg has done for HCM for some time and I am more than happy to lean in and create some conversation with and for them. The future holds an expansion in our technology and in the number of Centers of Excellence, we help create nationally. I appreciate the Boards confidence in me.”
Founded in 1996, the HCMA, a 501c3, provides support, advocacy and education to patients, families, the medical community and the public about hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, while supporting research and fostering development of treatments.  The HCMA has serviced over 10,000 families with HCM in over 43 countries and helped to develop over 30 Centers of Excellence in the USA.
